Flaxmere staff  share a strong belief in the intrinsic creative ability of our pupils and provide them with the opportunity and stimulation to express themselves in exciting ways.  Our aim is to develop excellence, using a wide range of media to gain the fullest expression of our pupils' ideas.  Thus we have developed a two year art programme that covers areas such as Painting, Assemblage, Drawing, Modeling, Graphics-Design, Photography, Printmaking and Fabrics-Fibre.

As the children progress from year to year they develop their expertise in the use of the different media, increase their visual vocabulary in terms of Line, Colour, Shape and Form and are encouraged to relate this knowledge to the wealth of art works around them.
